About Me
Hello, I’m Francis, a young wildlife photographer who enjoys adventures and capturing the beauty of nature. From a young age I developed a special interest in nature, through visiting multiple countries around the world and having pets for almost my whole life!
At first, this interest was one-dimensional, I had used cameras before but not to capture wildlife. When I was 14, I got my first “proper” camera (as I like to call it) which was a Nikon DSLR. This was the (slow) start of my interest in photography, I used it a lot when I first got it but after that on and off. It was only in September of 2025, when I got my Sony a6400 MIRRORLESS camera that I realised the depth there was to photography.
Straight away I began to go out much more often with my a6400 - dedicated photography days which I never did with my old DSLR. I started with just my 18-50mm lense, but soon purchased my Sony 70-350 mm after watching other photographers - my favourites being Olle Nilsson and Simon d’Entremont - do wildlife photography.
As of the time I’m writing this - February 2026 - I’m proud of how far my wildlife photography has come so far, but I’m excited to keep exploring and chasing those perfect shots, trying to improve every day. Whilst it can be intimidating seeing others’ work and feeling like mine isn’t up to scratch, its also extremely exciting knowing how much I can improve!
Photography is one of the things that brings me true joy, and I encourage all of you to give it a go, you never know where it’ll take you!
- Francis Lennox :)
